Hypocrisy [2/100]

The initial sketch for the drawing. Mind you, this is 14x17.took quite a while, but it was fun.
Here's the drawing in color:

I'll upload a touched up version of this, with better picture quality, as well as explain the specifics of this later. For now though, I'm running on 2 hours of sleep and am quite tired.

Frustration [1/100]

Piece 1 of 100.
Frustration.
Watercolor.
11x14.
The word that inspired this drawing was frustration. This took a literal meeting in terms of how i was feeling the day I came up with it, as well as the process of making it. I didn't realize that the super smooth finish paper that I used to for the piece would be such a pain in the neck, which made producing the work frustrating. The fact that I had started the sketch for this after work last night made me realize. The word frustration would fit perfectly with this. I made myself looking a little annoyed. If only i could make purple beams shoot out of my eyes and shoot them at people when I was really annoyed. One can hope right? regardless this was a rocky first work, but regardless it's up for the world to see. 5/22/10 was a day of frustration (apparently). The color quality is iffy on this, I might retake the photo, or better yet rework the piece. Currently sketching piece number 2.

Welcome, and Here's Some Food For Thought.

The idea behind this project is to produce 100 pieces of artwork (be it drawing, painting, writing, photography, music, ect.) for 100 days. This project has been done through collaborating with other artists as well as doing independent work. This will be my first year participating in the 100 days project.
For this years 100 days project, I am doing 100 independent illustrative drawings. The idea behind these pieces will be spawned by one word, relating to the day in which the piece is created. The word can have a quite literal narrative to it, or be a little more subtle, but will carry the idea of the word described, as well as any personal experiences that may have inspired the piece. I am really excited about this, because making 100 narrative pieces based off of one word or idea is certainly nothing I've ever done before.
One word inspires one picture, but one picture is worth a thousand words. If anyone is interested in collaborating with me based off the drawings for my 100 days project, please feel free to let me know.
